  26.     The difference in connect speeds between V.34 and V.FC are
  27. probably due to the attenuation distortion characteristics
  28. of your line or the ISPs line. V.34 can get you a 28.8
  29. connect at 3200 baud with a high frequency of 3429 HZ. V.FC
  30. requires a high frequency of 3520 HZ to get a 28.8 connect
  31. at 3200 baud. V.FC will connect at 26.4 with a high
  32. frequency of 3376 HZ
  33.     As far as the download speeds I don't know if there is
  34. anything you can do about that. I have seen the same thing,
  35. but it seemed to be either site dependent or load dependent.
  36. If I download after 1 am the download speeds seem to stay
  37. up, but if I am downloading in the evening hours which is
  38. the heaviest usage period for the internet the downloads
  39. keep dropping.
